CAMERON DODSON TAKES ON ALL-STARS WITH STOPS AT SPOON RIVER SPEEDWAY AND HARTFORD SPEEDWAY PARK
RACE WEEKEND UPDATE

JULY 30-31, 2004

GREENFIELD, IN ~ Winged sprint car rookie sensation Cameron Dodson proved he is up to the task of taking on the competition in one of the premier 410 winged sprint car series in the country, the All Star Circuit of Champions with impressive runs at both Spoon River Speedway and Hartford Speedway Park.

Friday night the 16 year-old Memphis, TN native unloaded at Spoon River Speedway, Canton, IL to do battle with a 43-car field of some of the best in the sprint car world. In addition to series standouts Danny Smith, Chad Kemenah, Jeremy Campbell and Greg Wilson, Knoxville Raceway regulars Terry McCarl, Kerry Madsen and Wayne Johnson were just a few of the names on hand.

Before a capacity crowd, Dodson turned in the 18th quickest qualifying time and finished fourth in his 11-car heat behind Dean Jacobs, Jerod Hull and Kemenah.

Lining up in the 16th starting spot for the 30-lap A-main, the young Greenfield, IN hotshoe, with less than 30 starts in a fire-breathing 410 winged sprint car, went to work making his way toward the front of the stellar field. As the laps clicked off, Dodson methodically picked off the competition one at a time, using lapped traffic and restarts following caution periods to his advantage.

When the checkered flew, Dodson had impressed the crowd with his run to ninth in the finishing order behind Smith, Kemenah, Campbell, Randy Hannagan, Hull, Madsen, Johnson and Scott Young.

“For our very first time racing with the All Stars, I am really happy with how we ran and finished,” said Dodson. “Looking at the field of cars here tonight, there were guys who have really impressive resumes in 410-sprint cars. It is a tremendous opportunity for me to gain major experience and knowledge racing against guys this good. I had a good time tonight. My Joie of Seating, Simpson, Hoosier, Weld Wheel, Gaerte Maxim was awesome. Troy (Hollingsworth, crew chief) put an excellent setup under the car and I was able to drive it where ever I needed to on the track which really helped in lapped traffic.”

Saturday, Dodson and the All Stars visited Hartford Speedway Park, Hartford, MI where the youngster has a win and runner-up finish in previous 2004 visits to the banked half-mile.

After an impressive fifth place qualifying effort, Dodson secured a front row starting position for the 30-lap A Main with a fifth place finish in his heat race behind Phil Gressman, Greg Wilson, Randy Hannagan and Dustin Daggett.

At the drop of the green, Dodson fell in behind pole sitter Dean Jacobs followed by Daggett, Kelly Kinser and series points leader Chad Kemenah. As the laps began to click off, local favorite Daggett, grabbed the lead from Jacobs as both Kinser and Kemenah had charged by Dodson to make the younger part of a five-car battle for the lead.

Never letting the leader out of his site, Dodson displayed the skill of a season veteran in lapped traffic to get back by Kinser and Kenneth as well as disposing of Jacobs to move in to second chasing Daggett. Dodson held second for ten laps and was reeling in the leader when Kemenah made an aggressive move to take back the runner-up spot. After a red flag for fuel with just three laps remaining, Dodson restarted in third behind Daggett and Kemenah and held off challenges from Kinser, Wilson and Danny Smith to the checkered.

“Wow what a race,” exclaimed Dodson in his post race interview. “We had a lot of fun out there tonight and it was great to have such a good finish for the people from our sponsor, Outerwears, here to watch.”

Dodson and the Cam’s Racing #37 team set their sites on the Knoxville Nationals.

“SMACKDOWN!” TO PIT LATE MODELS VS. MODIFIEDS SATURDAY AT MERCER; GIVEAWAYS TO PRO FOOTBALL HOF & TEXAS ROADHOUSE PLUS STRICTLY STOCK AUTOGRAPHS

By Mike Leone
August 3, 2004 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mercer, PA…The hype and wait is over. An event that fans have been anxiously looking forward to with curiosity, while it may not be the exact sentiments from the drivers, who probably are more cautiously optimistic about this Saturday’s show.

The Show is “SmackDown!” and it will take center stage, not in the wrestling ring, but on the 3/8-mile bullring at Mercer Raceway Park. Late models versus big-block modifieds, a concept that has been done only at a handful of tracks in the eastern part of the country and never in western Pa., will go head-to-head in a 30-lap $2,000 to-win grudge feature.

The Campbell-Peterson Trail & Turf Modifieds have the home track advantage and will be allowed any tire and no weight rule, while the late models will have to stick to their standard rules. Although the late models would be the seemingly odds on favorite with their sleeker, lighter, aerodynamically friendly cars, the modifieds have fared well on the bigger tracks like Hagerstown Speedway and Delaware International. So it’s really anyone’s bet who will rule in supreme in this clash of the titans.

Separate heat events will be run to set the majority of the field. The top six modifieds and top six late models from those events will redraw for the first 12 starting spots of the feature. A last chance race will be run to determine the last qualifying spots run as a combination event(s), depending on the amount of cars. Only heat race points and 10 show-up points will be awarded for the big blocks due to the nature of the show.

Bob Wearing, Sr. is atop the all-time late model win list with five scores. Since 2002, past late model winners include Keith Barbara (2), David Scott (2), Dick Barton, Alan Dellinger, and Nick Jones.

The remainder of the program will give fans plenty to feast on with a full compliment of Luxaire Heating & Cooling Sprint Cars ($1,500 to-win), Tire Express Sportsman Modifieds ($600 to-win), stock cars ($600 to-win), and Maurer’s Trading Post Strictly Stocks.

Also, 100 admission tickets will be given away to the Pro Football Hall of Fame & Museum in Canton, Ohio along with dinner certificates from Saturday’s rained out Texas Roadhouse night.

The Grove City Auto Mall “Meet Your Heroes” autograph night for the strictly stocks that was also rained out Saturday will be held from 6 to approximately 6:30 p.m. The cars and stars of this new division will bring their cars behind the grandstands during this time. The first 400 fans will receive autograph cards.

Two rainouts in the past three weeks have taken a chunk out of time for drivers to make up points in the championship races, which end for four of the divisions on August 28. Jamie Smith of Sewickley has the biggest lead with a 39-point edge over Rod George in search of his fourth sprint car championship. Stoneboro’s Tommy Kristyak still maintains a two-point edge over Andy Priest in hopes of his second straight big-block mod title. Fombell’s Jeff Schaffer has used an amazing run of consistency with all top five finishes to lead the sportsman mod points. Two recent wins for Stoneboro’s Andy Buckley coupled with mechanical troubles by Andy Thompson has propelled the 2001 champion into the point lead.

Jason Dolick of Coshocton, Ohio has opened up some ground on Chris Shuttleworth in the Moore CDL Driving Academy 360 Sprint points. Shuttleworth is expected back in competition after missing a week due to his violent crash. The 360 points will not conclude until “The Great Race” on September 18.

The “Redneck Racers Shotgun Series” will wrap up on September 25 with a paying event, but it has been all Curt Bish, Sr. all year long as he’s captured 10 of the 14 features to sit atop the points.

Gates will open for the event at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps are at approximately 6:15 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Adult admission is $15. The Family Pass is $35. Students 6-15 are $7. Children five and under are free. Pit passes are $30.

Also of note, last Saturday’s rainout has moved the Ken Carbone Memorial and the Bully Hill 360 Sprint All-Star Dash Qualifier to August 14 with the July 17 rained out EMS Community Sireeen Rally presented by Life Force Ambulance. Mercer Raceway Park is working with the PCTC Senior Series to come up with a suitable date to complete their April 17 fogged-out feature along with a complete new program.

Mercer Raceway Park is located minutes from both Interstate 79 and 80 just off Route 19 on Fairground Road in Mercer, Pa. Dirt track racing and quality family entertainment are presented weekly late March through early October. The office in New Bedford, Pa. is open year-round after 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call the office at 724-964-9300 or the track on race day at 724-662-1310. Check out our website at www.mercerracewaypark.com for the latest.

Good luck this weekend Carl

Also, good luck to another KB.Com driver, Cameron Dodson. The #37 team is headed to Knoxville, Iowa this weekend to tune up for next week's Knoxville National's. I know he's really excited to be competing there, hope he has a good showing against the best in the business

I had a much better week with photo sales at Sportsman's this time. Thanks to everyone who reads my site and remembered me. The photo gig has been keeping me really busy, and combined with the extra websites I've been doing lately...I haven't had much time for my own site.

Speaking of Sportsman's, Andy sent me the payout for the steel block late model race this Sunday. Have a look.

Well...back to work. I'll try to update some more this week, since some people actually miss reading my opinions. Poor poor people

Kevin Hoffman and Gary Kriess, Jr. win big at Andy Paden's Sportsman's Speedway
By: Pam Baker

KNOX, PA…..8/1/04…..Under a full moon, Andy Paden's Sportsman's Speedway completed the second race of the 2004 season with a full field of cars in the pit area and an overflowing grandstand area. Features winners were Kevin Hoffman, Franklin, PA - 358 Modifieds; Gary Kriess, Jr., Butler, PA - Sprint Cars; Keith Swarzlander, Apollo, PA - Mod Lites; Sean McAndrew, Edmon, PA - Micro Sprints; and Mike Peghar, Jr. - Outlaw Stocks.

The first feature to hit the speedway was the 358 Modified event and starting on the pole was Kevin Hoffman and Kevin Thompson. Hoffman jumped into the lead at the drop of the green with Jeff Walters and Garrett Krummert riding second and third. A caution for Matt Baker on lap seven closed the field together, but Hoffman never faltered and led the next thirteen laps to take home his first victory of the 2004 season. Jeff Walters finished a close second with Mike Stein coming from the fourteenth position to finish third. Brad Rapp who started eleventh finished fourth with B-Main winner, Jimmy Holden coming from the eighteenth starting position to take home fifth. The heats were won by Kevin Thompson, Jeff Walters and Ron Eperthener, Jr. The B-Main was won by Jimmy Holden.

The first appearance of the Sprints Cars at the track since 2001 found Gary Kriess, Jr., and John McCracken on the front row for the twenty lap event. Kriess flew into the lead with Gary Edwards and Doug Stanley right on his rear bumper. Kevin Andrusky took over the third position on lap two from Stanley and started his bid for the top position. With only one caution on lap eight for McCracken, Kriess kept his cool and led from green to checkered to pick up the feature win. Finishing a close second was Gary Edwards followed by Kevin Andrusky, Jason Dolick and Charlie Holben. The heats were won by Charlie Holben and Gary Edwards.
History was made at Sportsman's Speedway with the first ever appearance of the Mod Lites and heading the field was Brian Daniszewski and Kevin Meadows. Meadows jumped into the lead on the first lap, but eighth place starter Keith Swartzlander took that spot away on lap two and never looked back to pick up the win. Despite several cautions and lapped traffic Chris Logan was able to hold off the charges of Jim Golden to finish second. Golden was third followed by Kevin Meadows and Brian Saniszewski. Heats were won by Keith Swartzlander and Mark Marcucci.

The twenty-eight car field of Micro Sprints was trimmed down to twenty-four and leading the way to the green flag was Rob Felix and Doug Karlene. Karlene led the way through the halfway point and looked to be headed for victory until a caution for Chris Best grouped the field together. On the restart, second place runner Sean McAndrew took advantage of the caution and passed Karlene for the lead coming off the fourth turn. McAndrew led the final three laps to pick up the feature win followed by Mike Himes, Doug Karlene, Danny Holtgraver and Karlin Miller. Heats were won by Mike Crane, Danny Holtgraver and Steve Dunmire. The B-Main was won by Jake Spangler.

The final event of the evening found the Outlaw Stocks make two attempts before getting the first lap in the record books. A caution for Richard Wolf brought the field back to a complete restart and once the green flag flew, Mike Peghar, Jr. took command of the race. Despite several challenges by Terry Wheeler and Shaun Hooks in the late stages of the race Peghar was able to hold for the victory. Finishing second was Terry Wheeler followed by Shaun Hooks in third, Joe Drusko fourth and Ron Iorio fifth. Heats were won by Mike Peghar, Jr., and Ron Iorio.

Coming up next Sunday night at Andy Paden's Sportsman's Speedway will be the first appearance of the Steel Block Late Models along with the 358 Modifieds, Micro Sprints and Outlaw Stocks. JAROD LARSON, REX KING, CHAD RUHLMAN, SHAWN SHINGLEDECKER, JASON ENGLES, DON BLAKE JR. AND ROBBY SWITZER WIN ON A BIG NIGHT OF RACING AT TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY

by Brian Spaid August 1, 2004

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FRANKLIN, PA … After a rainy weekend, beautiful weather graced Tri-City Speedway on Sunday night for the track’s biggest show to date as Chad Ruhlman (Bossard Crawford Late Models), Jarod Larson (Northpointe Automotive Super Sprints), Rex King (Schwab's Ford DIRT Modifieds), Shawn Shingledecker (RPM Auto Sales/Shawgo Real Estate E Mods), Jason Engles (E.F. Rogers Plumbing & Heating Pro Stocks) and Don Blake Jr. and Robby Switzer (Victory Lane Graphics Thundercars) won the feature events on Goss Gas/Lincoln Welders Night at the Venango County half-mile oval.

In the division’s first appearance at Tri-City in 2004, Chad Ruhlman of Bemus Point, N.Y., won the 20-lap Late Model feature collecting $2,000. Leading every circuit, Ruhlman earned his first career win at Tri-City. It was his second big win in a row after a $5,000 triumph the previous Sunday at Gamblers Raceway Park in Clearfield, Pa. “I’m proud of the entire team,” said Ruhlman in victory lane beside the Fredres Motorsports Rocket No. 87R. “We’ve had some real good runs lately. Tonight, we ran well, and I’d really like to see Tri-City run our cars more often.” After an aborted start for a first turn spin, 1999 CSOnline Applefest 100 winner Matt Lux and Ruhlman led the 22-car field to the green flag, and Ruhlman immediately assumed command of the race. Alan Dellinger jumped into second and chased Ruhlman the entire distance, which was interrupted by three cautions in the first five circuits. Late in the race, Dellinger almost caught Ruhlman in lapped traffic, but the Empire State racer weaved his way through the backmarkers to stave off the challenges of the former DIRT Modified and E Mod feature winner. Dellinger finished second over Todd Andrews, Brent Rhebergen and Dick Barton. Barton battled with Rick Briggs for fifth over the final five laps. Briggs took the spot with three laps to go. He held it until the final circuit when Barton managed to regain the position. Briggs earned an extra $150 from Bossard Crawford as the race’s hard charger. Dellinger and Robbie Blair scored wins in the Late Model heats. Blair, the 1997 track champion, was running third in the feature when he dropped out on the ninth circuit.

In his most amazing triumph at Tri-City, Jarod Larson of Rock Creek, Ohio, spun out of the lead on the 14th circuit of the 20-lap Super Sprint feature, but later recovered to capture his fourth win of the season. The amazing “spin and win” was Larson’s seventh career victory at Tri-City, and solidified his hold on the race for the track title in his Clemson Excavating/Mark Thomas Ford Eagle No. 47. “I was in lapped traffic, and I didn’t think the car in front of me would turn in, and he did,” said an exuberant Larson about the spinout. “I had to either spin or take him out. When I went around I saw no one was there and I stood on it, but I lost the lead. I got back it back on that late restart. By then, I was so pissed off about losing the lead that I didn’t care if I put it in the fence.” Kiel Woodburn led for the first two corners of the race before Todd Bauer raced around him into first. One lap later, Larson zoomed by Bauer and stretched out to a huge lead. At the halfway point, Larson led Bauer and Jimmy Weller III. With his rear brakes glowing hot, Larson diced through lapped traffic when he suddenly spun in the second turn. Bauer and Weller went past him, and it appeared that Larson’s chance at victory was over. Then, Jason Jacoby lopped in turn two with five laps to go. On the restart, Weller tried to race under Bauer into turn one, while Larson simply blasted around both of them in the high groove. With that, Larson completed his comeback win leading the last four laps of the race. Weller finished second while Rod George moved by Bauer for third at the completion of the 19th circuit. Bauer and Rob Eyler rounded out the top five. George and Eyler won the Super Sprint heats.

Rex King of Bristolville, Ohio, captured his second consecutive 20-lap DIRT Modified feature win in his King Bros. Ready Mix/ALLTEL/Cintas Uniform Bicknell No. 65. Although King is in a heated battle with Andy Priest to win the track title, he was unable to gain on Priest in the chase for the championship because Priest won his heat and finished second in the feature behind King. “I don’t worry about point races,” said King in victory lane. “If you do that, you lose focus and you don’t pay attention to the performance of the car. We’re real happy to be here after the bad heat race run we had. That ‘invert six’ to lineup the feature really helped us.” King and Joe Crawford led the field at the start, and King quickly established that he was the man to beat. Priest made a charge as well. Using the outside groove, Priest dashed by Crawford and Del Rougeux Jr. to second. Although it appeared as if Priest might catch King, the real mid-race challenger was Josh Skarzenski. Using the low groove, Skarzenski raced from fifth to second between the 10th and 13th laps. As he dueled with King for the lead, a caution on the 14th circuit ended his fine run. Priest reassumed the runner-up slot on the restart. In the end, he was still no match for King, who scored his second win of the season and the fifth of his career at Tri-City. Priest finished second over Skarzenski. Rougeux passed Crawford for fourth on the final lap relegating Crawford to fifth. Priest and Jim Weller captured the DIRT Modified heat races.

Shawn Shingledecker of Franklin, Pa., accomplished the near impossible in the 15-lap E Mod feature as he defeated two-time defending track champion and 39-time feature winner Brent Rhebergen. Holding off Rhebergen for nearly the entire race, Shingledecker won his first career feature at Tri-City aboard his Main Auto Parts Pierce No. 54s. "It's taken us five years to get to victory lane at Tri-City, and I'm really happy," said Shingledecker, who also has two feature wins this season at Sharon Speedway. “I’d like to thank everybody for helping me get here.” Rick Robinson took command of the race at the start. He led the first two laps, then suddenly dropped out of the race under caution. This elevated Shingledecker to the lead over point leader Jim Frontz. On the restart, Rhebergen, who was running fourth, used the low groove to bolt into second before another caution. As the fans waited for the inevitable pass for the lead, Shingledecker held his own against Rhebergen on the restart. For the last 12 laps of the race, Rhebergen threw every move in the book at the leader, but Shingledecker fended off all challenges to score the popular win. Rhebergen finished second. Matt Lux piloted a team car to Frontz and used the outside cushion on the final circuit to race around Frontz into third. Frontz and Alan Dellinger rounded out the top five. Lux collected an extra $75 from Bossard Crawford as the race’s hard charger. Rhebergen and Dellinger each earned top five finishes in the Late Models and E Mods. Rhebergen and Shawn Domhoff won the the E Mod heats.

In a stunning upset, former DIRT Modified driver Jason Engles of Rocky Grove, Pa., captured his first career feature win in the 15-lap Pro Stock feature. Competing in only his second night in the car, which was recently purchased from veteran Bob Sloss, Engles led every lap of the non-stop event in his Hepler Roofing & Siding/R.K. Virgile Scrap Metals Chevrolet No. 707. “This feels great," said Engles. "I'd like to thank my dad, Tom Harry, Bob Sloss and my entire family. It's great to finally win my first race, especially at my hometrack." Engles led from the pole position while Doug Iorio II initially chased him. Behind the duo, drivers diced for numerous positions. With five circuits completed, Dave Ferringer was running third over Rusty Kellogg and Bobby Whitling. Within the next three circuits, more moves found Whitling in fourth over Jason Johns. All the while, Engles consistently turned laps around the half-mile. The Iorio team’s bad luck continued when the young rookie dropped out on the ninth circuit. Ferringer then closed slowly on Engles, but it was to no avail. Engles cruised to a popular victory over Ferringer, Whitling, Johns and Bruce Smith, who ran a determined race. After a heat race crash, the point leader won the B Main win, then climbed to fifth without a caution. He earned $75 as the hard charger of the race courtesy of Bossard Crawford. The effort also allowed him to maintain the point lead over Whitling in a tight title chase. Whitling, Kellogg and Ferringer won the Pro Stock heats. Smith won the B Main.

In the rain-delayed 12-lap Thundercar feature, Don Blake Jr. of Titusville, Pa., collected his sixth win of the season in his Monaco Cycle Sales/Townville Auto & Equipment Chevrolet No. 43. Combined with a DNF for Robby Switzer of Kennerdell, Pa., Blake built a cushion in his efforts to secure the point title with his seventh career win. “The track was a little slick at the start,” said Blake. “I almost crashed in the corner. We made it though.” Kevin Cooper led the first circuit before Blake moved around him in the second turn. Typical of his performance throughout the season, once Blake was in front, he opened an advantage over the rest of the field. Only three cautions slowed the race, including one on the ninth circuit when Switzer clocked the water barrels along the end of the wall in turn two. The incident knocked Switzer out of the race. At the checkers, Blake was the winner over Cooper and Regina Deloe, who ran a career best third. Joe Blake and Curt Bish Sr. rounded out the top five. Switzer recovered in the 13-lap nightcap feature for the Thundercars.

In a heartbreaker for Bish Sr., who is still searching for his first career win at Tri-City, Switzer used an uncharacteristic inside move off the final turn to score his fourth win of the season in his B&M Floor & Sealy Bedding/Switzer Pisa Pizza Chevrolet No. 97. It was Switzer’s 10th career win at Tri-City. “I knew with that DNF in the first race, I had to do well in this one,” said Switzer. “The inside groove worked well for me tonight. The team did a great job to get us here.” Curt Bish Jr. led the first three circuits before his father moved out front with an inside move in turn two. The Bish team paced the field until Switzer swiped second with a three-wide move on the sixth circuit as he battled with Bish Jr. and Deloe. Bish Jr. later survived a violent barrel roll in turn four with one lap to go, which added an extra circuit to the race. On the restart, Bish Sr. drifted high in the corners. He managed to hold off Switzer each time until the final corner when Switzer dove under Bish Sr. and snared the win. Bish Sr. was a disappointed second over Blake, Deloe and Carl Feely.

Tri-City Speedway continues with its 50th Anniversary season next Sunday August 8th with a five-star racing program that includes the Northpointe Automotive Super Sprints, Schwab's Ford DIRT Modifieds, RPM Auto Sales/Shawgo Real Estate E Mods, E.F. Rogers Plumbing & Heating Pro Stocks, and Victory Lane Graphics Thundercars on Racers for Tots/Kids Night. Fans are encouraged to bring a new toy to the track as a donation to Racers for Tots, which provides toys to needy children for Christmas. Children ages 12 and under will be able to compete in the Snyder of Berlin bike races on the frontstretch during a planned intermission. Helmets are required. Gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Adult grandstand admission will still be $10.

Haulmark All Star Sprint Results – Hartford Speedway Park – Sat. 7/31/04 By Scott Hall

HARTFORD, MI – Sprints on Dirt points leader Dustin Daggett used his hometrack advantage Saturday night to defeat the All Stars at Hartford Speedway Park. His first career All Star win came in convincing fashion over All Star points leader Chad Kemenah. Daggett’s No. 85 Maxim-Dowker was sponsored by Tri-City Auto Body, BOC Gases, General Signs and R&M Building Systems.“I don’t know what to say…this is awesome. It’s my first 410 feature win and I have to thank all the sponsors who help me out. And the track was great tonight,” Daggett proclaimed, praising Fred Knight’s smooth and tacky track surface.
“Coming here tonight I didn’t plan on winning but I knew I had a top ten car, if not a top five,” he concluded as the crowd roared with approval.
Dean Jacobs and Cameron Dodson led the 24 car field to the green because Jeremy Campbell was originally slated to start on the pole, but he did not make the call with ignition troubles. Jacobs jumped out into the initial lead, followed by third starter Daggett. As Jacobs approached the lapped machine of Mike Jonas, Jonas got sideways, causing Jacobs to take evasive action, allowing Daggett to squirt into the lead on lap five.
Daggett now lead Jacobs, Kelly Kinser and Kemenah. A pair of cautions, the first for a Bill Rose sick engine and the second for a seventh place Danny Smith spin, left Daggett still on top for each restart.
Daggett pushed out to a half straightaway lead again with Jacobs applying heavy pressure following each restart. At the halfway mark Jacobs drove hard under Daggett and got sideways, causing Kelly Kinser to get sideways also, allowing Kemenah to duck under both for second. Daggett still had a good advantage, with Kemenah second ahead of Dodson, Kinser and Brock Mayes.
Heavy traffic allowed Kemenah to reel in the leader with Dodson right on his tail. Dodson moved past Kemenah for second, keeping that spot for 10 laps until Kemenah got the spot back.
Mayes spun out of sixth spot on lap 28. With six cautions already on the books, a red flag was thrown for a fuel stop. Daggett got another strong restart to lead the last two laps, with Kemenah running second at the finish.
Dodson held on for third, with Kinser fourth and 14th starting Greg Wilson fifth. Smith came back from his early spin for sixth, ahead of Randy Hannagan, 12th starter Jon Agan, Phil Gressman and Mayes. The Crown Battery heat fell to Bill Rose, the B&B Products heat went to Phil Gressman, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Tim Hunter and Jeremy Campbell won the Haulmark Dash.
Kemenah was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier.
